FarmPower has built and is now operating an anaerobic digester in the Skagit Valley near Mount Vernon, Washington. The digester is between two dairy farms and captures manure to generate methane gas which will be used to generate electricity which will be purchased by Puget Sound Energy. Fertilizer and animal bedding materials are important by-products. The digester went on line on August 28, 2009. Andgar Corporation of Ferndale Washington is the general contractor.
